The King Arthur Show

Long Live The King!

About King Arthur

King Arthur Gropper, 43,

was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

"While sports is my first love 9-11-2001 had a major impact on my life. I

accepted a job in New York City on 7-11-2000 just 3 blocks from Ground Zero

the World Trade Center.  After seeing 3,000 fellow subway riders killed by

terrorists just yards away from my office gave me a brand new perspective on

what really is important in life.

"I have always had a love for the media, creating my own fantasy radio station

in my bedroom as a youth.

"I was a frequent caller into radio stations, attempting to win prizes. I guess I

was somewhat of a Disc-Jockey Groupie.

"The name King Arthur was given to me after I won a sports trivia contest at

age 13. I was deemed the King of Sports Trivia.

"After one call into a local sports-talk radio station, where I gave a report

on the Atlantic City High School football game, WAYV's Program Director,

Johnny B, called my home and asked if I would intern on Saturdays to

announce High School Sports scores. I immediately accepted.

"Several months later, I was hired to announce daily sports reports for WAYV's

top-rated Morning Show, then was named Sports Director.

" 1490 The Game, WOND and WIIN are other radio stations I have

broadcasted for. I am currently a writer/handicapper for DAILY RACING

FORM. Wrote for The Press of Atlantic City; TV host/Handicapper at

Atlantic City Race Course and Host/Producer/Technical Director for

WWAC-TV 53.

"The King Arthur Show commenced August, 3, 2008, airing on

 WIBG 1020 and WIBG.COM.
